Giselle is a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, an experienced company director, CEO and was previously a lawyer for over 30 years.

Giselle’s career roles have been varied – working internationally as a lawyer as well as General Counsel for New Zealand’s largest insurance company, living and breathing agribusiness for some years on a 3000 acre organic farm, governance and executive roles and running her own consulting business.  She has held many board roles, including the NZ Earthquake Commission (including its audit committee), the H&J Smith Group and the Medical Council.  Giselle has chaired the Audit Committees for both the Institute of Financial Advisors and the Medical Council.  She believes in making governance simple and easy.

Five years living on a 3000 acre organic sheep & beef farm brought a new way of thinking about people, planet and profit.  Now living in Central Otago, Giselle has recently completed a Cambridge University Sustainable Business Management course which strengthened her desire to help businesses towards a more purposeful, sustainable and resilient future.

Giselle believes governance brings long term strategic thinking and new ways of doing things; great governance is the enabler that will lead to a stronger world.  Giselle embraces new ways of working and living, enjoying her e-bike, e-vehicle and now a new home in Wānaka, Aotearoa New Zealand.  She thrives on helping people and businesses to have a positive impact on their health, services and relationships.
