Kathryn Grant joined us in 2020 – based at our Edinburgh office. Originally from Oxford in the UK, she brings to us her strong experience in cereal crop genetics.
Whilst a biology major during her undergraduate years at the University of Oxford, she became interested in food security after attending a few lectures throughout her study. This inspired her to later complete a Master’s degree in food security.
After obtaining a PhD in plant molecular genetics, she joins AbacusBio, where she will be working on several projects across developing countries, such as improving pig production in Uganda and rice production in Tanzania.
