Franziska first came to New Zealand in 2012, working in sheep and beef farms around New Zealand. She instantly fell in love with the country and developed a keen interest in NZ farming systems. In 2019, she jumped at the opportunity to come back for PhD study.
Franziska is an ambitious individual from Germany who enjoys challenges and thrives on being part of a team. Her open-mindedness and flexibility make it easy and quick for her to adapt to kiwi life and she is excited about what she has to offer in NZ.
Franziska’s career highlights include:
- Graduating with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree, both in animal science.
- Strong background in statistical analysis and big data using R.
- Commencing PhD study in beef breeding at Massey University.
