Cheryl specialises in breeding programs around the world. She enjoys teamwork and thrives in a collaborative environment, engaging closely with colleagues and clients to develop solutions and tools in quantitative genetics, breeding programs, and selection indexes for a wide range of species. Her work includes sheep, beef, dairy, fish, poultry, and crops species. 

Cheryl joined AbacusBio in 2015. Originally from Canada, Cheryl offers her significant academic and industry experience, and is well placed in helping users understand complex information with her clear, organised approach. 

Cheryl’s career highlights include: 

  • Being part of AbacusBio’s world experts of indexes, economic breeding objectives for a wide variety of livestock. 
  • 5 years of research and teaching at the University of Guelph, delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in animal breeding and quantitative
